The Saturday Academy is a unique programme of lectures and masterclasses created for anyone who wishes to explore drawing, painting, and art history beyond the studio.

​

Each Saturday is dedicated to an in-depth exploration within 2 hours of a major artistic theme: the great masters, painting techniques, artistic materials, composition, colour, creativity, the history of art movements, and the working methods of artists throughout the centuries. Every session is designed as a true immersion, combining historical insight, live demonstrations, artwork analysis, recent discoveries in art research, and practical knowledge that participants can immediately apply to their own artistic practice.

Far from being a conventional academic course, every lecture offers a dynamic, engaging, and intellectually stimulating experience. Works of art are examined within their historical, technical, and cultural context, revealing not only how great artists worked, but more importantly why their masterpieces continue to move and inspire us today.

The masterclasses complement the lectures through intensive, hands-on practice focused on a specific technique or medium. Guided step by step by an experienced instructor, participants transform theory into practical skills while developing greater confidence and technical mastery.

Each event start at 10:30 for 2 hours until 12:30. The classes and masterclasses are given in French.
